Privacy at iStrx

Your images stay on your device. iStrx is a browser-based image converter. All processing—resizing, converting, and compression—happens locally in your browser using WebAssembly and Web Workers. We do not upload your files to our servers and we do not keep copies of your images.

No server storage. iStrx does not send images to the cloud, and we don’t back them up on your behalf. Images exist only in your device’s memory while you use the tool. When you close the tab or app, processing stops and those temporary copies are gone.

What may be stored on your device. To make your workflow faster, iStrx may save lightweight preferences such as theme, recent export presets, and quality settings in your browser (for example, Local Storage or IndexedDB). These preferences never include your images and never leave your device. You can remove them anytime by clearing site data in your browser settings.

Offline use & app cache. If you install iStrx as a Progressive Web App (PWA), a service worker may cache the application files so the tool can load offline. This cache does not include your images—only the app shell required to run iStrx without a network connection.

Cookies & analytics. iStrx does not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels. If analytics are enabled, we use privacy-respecting, aggregated measurements that do not identify you and do not collect your images. You can use iStrx without accepting any non-essential cookies.

Permissions & access. iStrx only works with files you explicitly choose (drag-and-drop, file picker, or paste). We do not scan your device or request camera, microphone, location, or contacts permissions.

Hosting & security logs. Our hosting provider may generate short-lived, standard server logs (e.g., IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and performance. These logs are separate from your on-device processing and never include your images.

Your rights. If you contact us for support, we may hold that correspondence. You can request access, correction, or deletion of that information at any time. Because iStrx does not upload or store your images, there is no image data for us to access or delete.
